Summary
Research
Marin Pilloud's research interests focus on how the human skeleton can be used in a forensic context as part of the biological profile and inform our understanding of human behavior in archaeological contexts. She is particularly interested in the application of dental morphology and metrics to answering research questions in both of these realms. She is also working on defining ethical practice and professionalism in both bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology.
Marin Pilloud is a board-certified forensic anthropologist (D-ABFA no.109), a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, and a member of the Register of Professional Archaeologists. She regularly consults on forensic anthropological casework and recoveries.
