Summary

Daniel Cook studies the politics of health and safety regulations, with a focus on the role of the private sector in public policy. Specific research topics have included tobacco control, drug safety and the politics of science. Cook conducts qualitative analysis of archived documents while seeking a better understanding of structural inequality and how stakeholders interact with government and public health. He also contributes to multi-disciplinary teams to discover the implications of health science research for social justice and public policy.
